Ice in the Climate System (GEOS 477) is a course covering snow, sea ice, lake ice, permafrost, glaciers, and ice sheets and the role they play within the climate system. It is designed for advanced undergraduates or graduate students and includes hands-on experience observing the cryosphere through ground-penetrating radar, ice coring, snow pit studies, and modeling.
